Old-Fashioned
Cherry Wine Mold (pareve)
serves 8
1 (6 ounce) package black cherry gelatin mix
3 cups boiling water
3/4 cup sweet red wine (eg. Manischevitz concord grape)
pinch nutmeg
2 cups frozen pitted cherries, thawed
1/2 cup chopped pecans
tiny bunches green grapes to garnish.(optional)
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water, stirring until
completely dissolved. Stir in the red wine.
Refrigerate until partially set, 1-2 hours. Stir in the
nutmeg, cherries and pecans. Pour into a 1 1/2 quart mold .
Refrigerate until firm. Unmold by dipping mold into a large
bowl of hot water for a few seconds making sure no hot water
splashes onto the gelatin.
Garnish with green grapes (optional)
